How do I list a costume?

You must first register your account on the site. If you haven’t already registered, click on the Register button. Then, simply click on the Place an Ad button on the left side of the screen and follow the step by step instructions.

I did not receive a registration email, what should i do?

CostumeSwap does not sell costumes. Its purpose is to provide a site where people can connect and sell or trade their costumes. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.

I posted an ad but it is not showing up.

Log in to your account and click on "Modify An Ad." There is a column titled "Active."  If you have any ads that are not active, you can click on the "Activate" link to help you post your ad.

I am a costume company, can I list my costumes on the site?

We do not allow costume companies to place listings on our site. We do allow them to place an ad on CostumeSwap that will link to your site. For information, email us

I'm having a costume sale at my studio, can I list it on CostumeSwap?

Yes, in our Forums section you can list your sale under the In-Studo Costume Sale section for free.

Is the price listed for a group of costumes for each costume or for all of them?

The best way to clarify pricing information is to contact the seller directly. You can do this by scrolling to the bottom of the ad and using the "Contact The Owner Section."

How do I know if I can trust a seller?

There is rating system for each member. You should first check the seller's rating by other members.  You can access this information by clicking on the seller's name in an ad. Members are encouraged to rate other members they buy from so as to help make CostumeSwap.com an overall better site.

Why don't you have "xyz" catagory?

We are always looking to include any type of costume genre on our site. If you you don't see a genre that you think should be on our site, send your suggestion to us.

What format do my photos have to be in?

Currently our site supports the most common file formats that digital cameras save to. The formats we currently support are: GIF,JPG,JPEG,BMP, and PNG. Example: Costume.jpg or Costume.BMP
